NAFAS: Community Somatic Reset Group (Virtual)

You are invited to join this somatic reset group for those processing current events in Palestine, Lebanon, and/or Iran. While spaces for advocacy and political discussion are vital to our community, this group is more of an inward experience that will not feature group dialogue, focusing instead on cultivating peace and healing within the body.

Led by the power of our nafas (breath), we will engage in mindfulness practices in the presence of our virtual community, as we create more calm in our bodies. By engaging in this work, we are not minimizing or ignoring the effects of current events; instead, we are building community and honoring our bodies, as a form of radical love in the face of violence.

This free, virtual group runs from July to October, every 2nd and 4th Friday from 9:00 am to 9:30 am Pacific Time / 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm Eastern Time. International participants welcomed.

Upcoming dates:

  • Friday July 10th (9:00 am to 9:30 am Pacific Time)

  • Friday July 24th (9:00 am to 9:30 am Pacific Time)

  • Friday August 7th (9:00 am to 9:30 am Pacific Time)

  • Friday August 21st (9:00 am to 9:30 am Pacific Time)

“Letters to Ourselves” - Therapeutic Writing Workshop

“Letters to Our Selves” is Part III in the “PAGES” writing workshop series. I designed this summer series as a way of slowing down, turning inwards, and reflecting on our lives across July, August, and September. This final installment of the series asks participants to consider all the different versions of themselves, and what role those versions played in carrying them through life. Additionally, participants will be asked to hold a dialogue with these past selves, as well as their “self” in the present, and their “self” in the future.
